Power Station 40+ FAQ
Can I connect the Power Station to any AC wall outlet, or does it require a dedicated circuit?
Although it is best to connect the Power Station to a dedicated circuit, a regular outlet can also be used if the total power consumption of all connected devices does not exceed the circuit fuse rating. The Power Station must be connected to the gro
How many power stations can be connected to a single AC outlet?
We strongly recommend connecting only one station to a single outlet and avoiding using power strips or extenders.
How much is the power consumption of the Power Station?
The 6-bay Omni Power Station 40+ maximum power draw is 450W. Please ensure connecting the station to a socket suitable for this power rating and avoid overloading.
How long does it take for the Power Station to fully recharge the batteries?
The 6-bay Power Station takes four to six hours to fully recharge the batteries.
Why are some of the batteries not recharging fully to 100%?
Omnicharge Power Stations feature a Dynamic Power Protection, which helps prolong battery life and prevent overcharging. When the charger reaches 100% charge, it will disengage and allow the battery to deplete to 80% before re-engaging. This is norma
Does the Power Station need an internet connection to work?
The Power Station only needs to be online if you subscribe to the PaaS (Power-as-a-Service) rental program. An internet connection is not required for regular unlocked usage.
Do I have to connect the Power Station via Ethernet, or can I also use Wi-Fi for the PaaS service?
The Power Station will work via both Ethernet and Wi-Fi. If you use a Wi-Fi connection, ensure the station has good wireless coverage.
Where should I deploy my Power Station?
It is advisable to deploy your power station in an easily accessible location to ensure convenient access for your users. Deploy the station on a flat, stable surface that allows for adequate ventilation, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. E
How to clean the Power Station and Omni 40+ chargers?
Before cleaning your Power Station, disconnect it, remove the Portable Chargers, and power them down. Use a dry, lint-free cloth to clean off the surface of the Station and units. Avoid liquids and operating with wet hands.
Can I use all ports simultaneously?
The DC and USB-C ports on the Omni 40+ share the same circuitry and cannot operate simultaneously.
Why can’t I use a pass-through charging on Omni 40+?
Pass-through charging on PS (Power Station) enterprise units is default OFF, and you cannot enable it to charge your devices in pass-through mode. This safety feature prolongs the battery lifespan and minimizes the strain on the battery cells.
Why is the charger shutting off while charging my device?
The Omnicharge’s OP (over-power protection) will disable the output and shut off the unit if the power consumption exceeds the maximum specified power output. Please ensure your device’s power consumption is within the Omnicharge’s maximum output spe
What is the Omni 40+ rated capacity, and why does it not provide as many expected charges?
The Omni 40+ is rated at 142Wh. During charging, part of the energy is lost as heat due to electrical resistance, meaning the actual power output will be lower than the rated capacity. This is called conversion efficiency loss and applies to all powe
Is it normal for the Omni 40+ to become slightly warm during use?
Yes, it is normal for the unit to become slightly warm during operation. Heat is generated as part of the power conversion process during charging, and the device's design ensures proper heat dissipation. Each 40+ unit is equipped with active thermal
